Who We Are

The Sustainable Environment Restoration Programme (SERP) was launched in 2014 by the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (MEWNR).

What We Do

The crowning jewel of the SERP initiative is the planting, nurturing and sustenance of 2.5 billion trees by 2020. The SERP initiative will attempt to break Guinness World Records by planting 5 million trees in one hour and 20 million trees in 12 hours.

How We Do It

By partnering with the Kenya Red Cross Society to launch the Adopt-A-Tree app. This is an online crowdsourcing platform whose overall goal is to encourage Kenyans to contribute to the achievement of a sustainable and natural environment in Kenya.
